Finding nothing is the most you can find

When we observe our own minds, we notice that an infinite number of thoughts follow each other in continuous succession. If we give our full attention to each thought in turn, observing the first thought, the second thought, and so on, each one disappears of itself, and what we always find is emptiness, nothing concrete. The original texts of Dzogchen affirm in this regard that "finding nothing is the most you can find." Our real condition is emptiness, so what is there to find? Even if we believe there is something to find, there is in fact nothing there. When you discover yourself that there really is nothing, you have made the greatest discovery.
